South Africa 2011
In September 2011, Spirit of America has been invited to bring music, motion and the arts to the youth of South Africa! Partnering with South African organizations, we will build and support the growth of hope through the arts in a country where hope is a new and fragile thing.
Workshops for young people throughout the tour:
Performance arts, Costume design, Make-up Design, Set construction, Back stage tech, Mosaic design, Instrument repair, Brass, Woodwinds, Percussion
In Durban
Assisting the Ekhaya Multi Arts Centre in creating a new community youth music ensemble for the local township, with a committment to a five-year continuing development plan.
