Spirit of America will hold workshops in Durban and Johannesburg for the young people of the townships in:

Durban – Ekhaya Multi Arts Center
- Workshops: Sept 6,7,8,&9, 2011 at King Zwelithini Stadium in Umlazi
- Training students to create a parading band in KwaMashu, Durban.
- Training KwaMashu staff to continue building the band
- Evening Field Show performances of Exploration!
Johannesburg – Joburg Theatre
- Workshops: Sept 21,22,23,24 &25, 2011
- Transportation offered to young people attending workshops
- Matinee performances of Instrumental Theater:in motion – The Fall and Rise of the Phoenix for workshop attendees
