There’s only one word to describe the combination of commitment, energy, verve, and basic blood, sweat and tears that go into every rehearsal and performance by Spirit of America Band, and that word is PASSION. It isn’t just an over-the-top, adrenaline high: it’s about giving 150% all the time, whether you’re feeling it at the moment or not, because you care more about the end result and the good of the group than you do for yourself. Are we there all the time? No, but it’s a goal we work toward every time we get together. And with your help, we’ll keep reaching toward that goal.

The passion you show for Spirit of America through your support, has taken us from the streets of Orleans on Cape Cod to the great opera halls of South Korea. With your financial contribution, you have helped provide music and marching workshops for needy kids in the US and Australia. In 2011, it will help us bring instruments to young South African musicians. Thanks to you, Spirit of America has grown from a hometown marching band, to an internationally recognized musical outreach organization, that has touched the lives of young musicians and audiences the world over.

There’s no question that times are hard right now, but what better chance to provide hope for the future than by supporting Spirit of America Band? We’ve all heard that when culture and the arts are lost, the heart of the people begins to shrink.
