Re-Sound drive

Spirit of America will be holding a Re-Sound instrument donation drive at Super Stop and Shop in Orleans, MA  2-6pm on Sunday June 5, 2011. So far Re-Sound has received donations for it’s first project – to help begin a parade band in KwaMashu, South Africa – but many more are needed!

Orleans, MA is Spirit of America’s hometown and this is great opportunity for Cape Codders (and summer guests!) to participate in this wonderful homegrown program.

Used traditional band instruments will be collected at the drive, repaired by SOA technicians and shipped to South Africa where SOA members will be working with the new KwaMashu band during its September 2011 Tour.

It is a privilege for SOA to come back year after year to this town that cares so deeply about the sacrifices that have been made for our country.Ceremonies are conducted at cemeteries throughout Holden that are the final resting places of veterans of every major American military campaign dating back to the Revolutionary War.

This is a town that cares deeply about America, our Armed Forces, and the values that have made our country great. Spirit of America is proud to be a part of their Memorial Day 2011 parade.
